North of Mauritius
Mont Choisy, 7.0km / 4.3 miles, is located along the Northern Coast of the Island. Pamplemoussess Royal Botanical Gardens, 10.0 km / 6.2 miles, a short 10 minute drive from Le Meridien Ile Maurice, houses an astonishing of rare indigenous flora, 85 different varieties of palms trees brought in different corners of the world, as well as small deer and some giant Aldabra tortoises from Seychelles, where they are an endangered species. This spectacular garden, covering an area of 37 hectares, was built by Pierre Poivre in the year 1767, covering an area of 37 hectares, and is one the oldest botanical garden in the entire southern hemisphere.
Aventure du Sucre museum, 10.0km / 6.2 miles, once lusted after as much as gold, sugar has enjoyed an extraordinary existence, leaving a profound impression on the history and identity of Mauritius. Pereybere, 15.0km / 9.3 miles, located between Grand Baie and Cap Malheureux, this beach comes with a lovely cove and is regarded to be one of the best bathing areas, in this part of the island. The water of this beach is always found to be deep blue in color and crystal clear.
Cap Malheureux, 20.0km / 12.4 miles, is a small fishing village located on the northernmost tip of Mauritius, just north of Grand Bay and Pereybere (2 miles from Pereybere). Cap Malheureux offers magnificent views of some small islands off the coast, such as Ile Plate, famous for its lighthouse, Ile Ronde, a wildlife bird sanctuary, and Coin de Mire, an enormous rock of historical importance.
